POMS: Remember that tryouts continue today for the 2017-2018 pom squad! We look forward to seeing you from 4-7pm today through Thursday in the dance studio located just inside door 3. Good luck to everyone participating!

LINK CREW: The Link Crew application deadline is this Friday at 2:45pm for all current sophomores and juniors. Join the "Apply to Link Crew" group in Schoology for details. Questions? See Mrs. Kennedy or Mrs. Shannon.

CHEERLEADING: Are you interested in becoming a Glenbard North cheerleader? Would you like to cheer sidelines at football and basketball games, perform at pep rallies and participate in cheerleading competitions? Come join us today and 26th for open gyms. Open gyms will take place in the cafeteria from 4:00-6:00 p.m. This will give you the opportunity to practice and enhance your skills before tryouts. TRYOUTS WILL BE: May 3, 4, and 5th--be sure to save these dates! Hope to see you there.

BOOKSTORE: The bookstore will be closed from tomorrow through Wednesday, April 26th. Please make any necessary purchases by Wednesday April 19th. Thank you.

CLUB INTERACT: On Saturday, April 22nd, is the Community-Wide Food Drive in which members help load/unload the vehicles with the donations at door #7 from 11:00AM until 4:30PM. Please sign-up for a two hour shift on the sheet outside of room #1454. All are welcome to help in this Community-wide event.

PRISM: We are celebrating the Day of Silence this Friday. The Day of Silence is a national youth-led movement that brings attention to the silencing effects of LGBTQ+ bullying. All students are encouraged to participate. Find us in the cafeteria to sign up on Monday and Tuesday. We are also having a meeting after school on Wednesday in room 1-408. We will also be having a Breaking the Silence party after school in the same room on Friday April 21st.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD: The Girls Track and Field won the Mike Rebeck Invitational at both the Varsity and the JV levels on Saturday at Schaumburg High School. The team had 37 personal best performances! The JV team had first place finishes in the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x800 meter relays. Individual 1st place finishers were Megan Kalemba, Ariel Ivy, Ariell Capel, Allie Campbell and Maddie Faye. On the Varsity side, all four relays were runners up and ran season best times. Individually the Varsity team was led by first place finishes from Hannah Ivy in 400 meter dash and Kathryn Milschewski in the Discus. Honorable mention for Varsity performances goes to Jasmine Stokes, Zakiya Newsome, Brenda Nguyen, Mua Paye and Lauren Mahoney. The coaches are proud of the overall team performances. Let's continue to do our jobs.

NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY FOOD DRIVE: Want to help your community? National Art Honor Society is working with the Carol Stream Rotary to organize a food drive. If you see collection bags in your classrooms, be sure to bring canned food, toothbrushes or any other nonperishable item. The last day to bring food is Thursday, April 20th. Help out some people in need! ~

BOYS SOCCER: For all boys interested in playing soccer next fall who are not currently involved in a Spring Sport, there will be a brief but important meeting Thursday at 2:45 in Room 1-212. Information on Summer Camp, Summer League, and Spring Open Field dates will be provided.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: There will be a meeting for all girls playing basketball next winter, afterschool on Monday, April 24, in room 2304. All girls basketball players should plan to attend this brief meeting.
