Student Council: Although the year is ending it is time to start thinking about next year’s Homecoming! Come to room 1120 after school on Thursday 4/20 to begin the discussion about HoCo 23. What do you want to add? Theme? Bring your ideas, all are welcome.

Green Panthers: Friday Earth Day Event Do you want to make our school a little bit cleaner? If yes, join Green Panthers on Friday, April 21 from 2:45pm – 4:00pm for our Earth Day Clean Up Event to make our school just a little bit greener. Meet at Door 28 at 2:45pm. Hope to see you there.  

Cheerleading: Come to open gym for cheerleading in April 19 and 26. It is from 6:00-8:00 in the cafeteria. Anyone is welcome! Check out our Instagram for more information: GBN Cheer. See you there!

Fine Arts Department: Attention Seniors! Fine Arts Signing Day: Will you be majoring in the fine arts, such as theater, music, or art? We want to celebrate you at the annual Fine Arts Signing Day. It’s Tuesday, May 2 from 6-7:30 in the Little Theater. Let us know you’re coming by completing this google form as soon as possible.

Senior Class: Senior Week is COMING! May 8-12. Make sure you read the attached flyer for information on leaving your hand print at the library, thanking staff and going to the Senior Picnic!!

Boys Varsity Tennis: Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Tennis team placing 3rd in the Schaumburg Invite. For 1st doubles, Eddie Morales and Alex Nugent placing 5th and Purv Patel placing 3rd for 1st Singles. Second doubles team, Frank Jaszka and Noel Thorakkal fought hard til the end placing 2nd and a consistent game play for 2nd singles player, Rishabh Shah coming in 1st place! Not only did they take the W at the Saxon’s Invite, but they also won against West Chicago this past Friday winning overall 6-1 as a team. Way to go Panther Tennis!!

Girls Track & Field: Congratulations to the girls Track & Field team who won both the Varsity and JV levels at the Schaumburg Invitational. Varsity event winners included the 4x800m Relay team of Brooklyn McQuillan, Jessica Solar, Peyton Marshall and Grace Schager; Carly Bachara won the pole vault, Skyler Libel won the Triple Jump and Grace Schager won the 1600m. Congratulations Ladies!

Seniors: If you are interested in speaking at the Class of 2023 Graduation Ceremony, fill out the Google Form on Schoology and attach a copy of your speech by Monday, April 24th. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, April 26th after school. This is an amazing opportunity to speak to your classmates one last time. Find the post in Schoology and fill out the Form if you are interested

Juniors and Seniors: Prom is May 13, 2023! Please see the attached poster and the Prom 2023 website for more information.

Student Council: Spring is here and Glen-bird North has arrived. Swing down to the display case between the gym and cafeteria to look at seven beautiful birdhouses that various clubs and sports have created. Vote for which one you think is most beautifullest!

Theatre: GBN Theatre is getting ready to present its spring mainstage, She Kills Monsters! “She Kills Monsters” is a comedic romp into the world of fantasy playing games. It tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge. The show runs April 20th-22nd at 7:30pm in the Little Theatre. Tickets are $8 and available at the door or online. We hope to see you there! Panther PressN: Shower your roots with love. North Technology Club: The NTC is hosting a Super Smash Bros Tournament on Wednesday, April 19th after school in the library. Free for all current students. You can compete to try to win the grand prize, or you can hang out, eat snacks, and watch the competition. RSVP using the QR code online and located around the school.

Club Interact: Attention all! The Community Wide Food Drive is coming up on Saturday, April 22nd and we need your help! Volunteers are needed to help unload donations and load up the donations on the food pantries’ trucks! Please sign up for a shift.

Club Interact: Attention all first period classes! The Toilet paper challenge begins today so if you can spare a square then you can donate a roll!! The first period class that donates the most rolls of toilet paper by Friday, April 21st for the Community-wide food drive will win $5 gift card for each student in the class for either Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks and $25 gift card for your teacher!

Nurse:  JUNIORS You need a 2nd Meningococcal vaccination to enter 12th grade. You can not get a parking pass, school ID, or start 12th grade until the nurses have proof of this vaccination. Please email proof of vaccinations to the nurse OR drop off in the Health Office. Come see us OR check the GBN health office page for local vaccination resources.
