 Social Studies Department: Attention Seniors. The Social Studies Senior Scholarship applications are now available. Interested seniors can get an application in the Social Studies office or from their Social Studies teacher. The application is also available in the Scholarship Schoology Group. Completed applications are due to Mr. Coon in the Social Studies office by Monday, March 11.

 Library: Please join us TODAY in the library to celebrate Black History Month and our first ever African American Read-In during PLC in the library. Many of your fellow students along with Dr. Mensik, Mr. Wilkens, Ms. Davis, Ms. Willis, and Mr. Cruz will be presenting readings from texts they have chosen that have inspired them. We will be hosting any staff and students who would like to attend! We hope to see you there!

Theatre: Auditions for this year’s spring play, “MARIE ANTOINETTE” will be Today or Tuesday (pick one) at 2:45 in the theatre. Scan the QR code posted around the building for audition materials. There are also additional participation paperwork and audition materials outside the theatre. You will lose your head over the amount of fun this play will be!

Link Crew: Are you a current sophomore or junior interested in being a leader for the incoming freshman class? Informational sessions to learn more about Link Crew are at the start of all lunch periods today, February 25th and Tuesday, February 26th in Room 1216. See you there!

Senior Class: SENIOR SLIDESHOW

All seniors start sending your pictures to Ms. Munro, [email protected], for the slideshow at the end of the year. If you have song suggestions, please send those as well. Deadline to submit pictures is Friday, April 19th!!

Girls Soccer: Tryouts for Girls Soccer begin today, February 25 at 5:30 pm in the Field House. All welcome, no experience necessary.

School Counseling: Attention all seniors: Want to learn more about the scholarship opportunities offered at College of DuPage? On Tuesday, February 26th, meet in the Library Classroom at the beginning of your lunch period for a 20-minute presentation. A COD representative will help you log on to the scholarship portal in order to apply before the March 15th deadline. See you Tuesday!

Girls Badminton: Attention any girls trying out for Badminton! Tryouts will begin today after school in the main gym from 3-5pm. You will need your gold card to try out! You can get your gold card from the Athletic office during your lunch.

Girls Softball: This is a reminder that Softball Tryouts begin today, February 25th. Any girls interested in playing softball should attend. Make sure you have a gold card to try out. If you have any questions, see Coach Sanew in room 2-108.

Baseball: Baseball season starts today, February 25th. Freshman will practice at 2:45 and Sophomore/Varsity will begin at 5:30. Please bring your gold card to practice. If you have any questions, see Coach Smelko.

Girls Track & Field: The girls track and field team started the season strong this past Saturday at their first meet in Batavia. Meet placers were Elelta Sisay, Taylor DeStafano, Camila Vila, Riley, Hernandez, Sarah Ozeki, Lauren Thiesen, Jahnae McCain, Arielle Capel, Brenda Nguyen, Akira LeBron, SaToriya Hendenerson, Christy Nguyen, Ariel Ivy, Lily Guy, Maddie Frye and Sklyer Jordan. The girls’ next meet is at home on Thursday at 4:45 in the field house. Come out and cheer on the girls track and field team.

Boys Tennis: All boys interested in trying out for the tennis team should report on Monday, March 4th at 3:00 to the tennis courts with their Gold Card. If the weather is too cold or wet to play on the tennis courts, report to area outside the driver education classroom ready to run outside. Any questions contact Doug Clark through Gmail.
